Two papers from our research team are accepted by the annual conference of Design Automation and Test in Europe. DATE 2014 received 1090 paper submissions: an all-time high for DATE and an 8% increase over DATE 2013. There are 206 papers selected (acceptance rate = 23.1%).

Our paper "Multi Resolution Touch Panel with Built-in Fingerprint Sensing Support" (Pranav Koundinya, Sandhya Theril, Tao Feng, Varun Prakash, Jimming Bao and Larry Shi)
describes an innovative technique that combines multi-touch panel and fingerprint scan in one unified single device. It has the potential to bring revolutionary changes to the smartphone and mobile device industry.

DATE conference is the main European event bringing together designers and design automation users, researchers and vendors, as well as specialists in the hardware and software design, test and manufacturing of electronic circuits and systems. It puts strong emphasis on both ICs/SoCs, reconfigurable hardware and embedded systems, including embedded software.

DATE is sponsored by the ACM SIGDA, the EDA Consortium, the European Design and Automation Association (EDAA), the European Electronic Chips and Systems Design Initiative (ECSI), the IEEE Computer Society (TTTC), the IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation (CEDA), and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS).
